GoodSearch and GoodShop

Help OMC Regional Foundation by doing something you do every day—searching the Internet!

GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50% of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine, and OMC Regional Foundation will receive approximately $0.01 for each Web search.

Not only can you help OMC Regional Foundation by using GoodSearch, but you can also help us out through GoodShop. Every time you click over to one of GoodShop's partner merchants and make a purchase, OMC Regional Foundation receives a contribution. The more you shop through GoodShop, the more money we receive to better serve our patients! The amount donated from each shop varies, but it can range from 1% to 20%.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts

Gifts to OMC Regional Foundation can be a meaningful way to honor someone special, celebrate a life event, or memorialize a loved one. Memorial gifts to OMC Regional Foundation are gifts that keep on giving as they help build endowment for future support for patient care. Tribute gifts and memorials can also be designated to one of the other existing funds.

Real Estate

A gift of your commercial property, farm, or house helps you preserve your cash assets, receive significant tax advantages, and make a larger gift that you might have imagined possible.

Life Insurance

Making OMC Regional Foundation the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy allows you to use your current resources and make a significant gift.

Life Income Gifts

There are many types of estate planning vehicles that can enable you to plan for your future, your loved ones, and your favorite charities. Your estate attorney and financial advisor can help you identify the best assets to use for a planned gift arrangement that benefits you with decreased tax burden and increased income for you and/or your heirs.

We would love to talk with you about your intended gift so we understand your intent and wishes and provide the best possible stewardship of your gift. Please contact Stacey Vanden Heuvel at 507.292.7202 for more information.

Charitable Bequests

Estate gifts to OMC Regional Foundation may be easily and confidentially arranged through a codicil, which is an amendment to an existing will.

To make a general, unrestricted bequest, your will or codicil might state: "I give and bequeath to OMC Regional Foundation, in Rochester, MN, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, the sum of $______ for its general uses and purposes."

Bequests may also be stated as a residual percentage of the estate after other obligations are met, and they can be directed to specific programs and purposes.

Marketable Securities

Appreciated stock that has been held for at least one year is one of the most popular assets used for charitable giving. A gift of appreciated stock is mutually beneficial, because you help OMC and realize financial benefits for yourself as well.
