OMC Regional Foundation takes your privacy very seriously. This notice describes the Foundation’s privacy policy as it relates to the www.omcregionalfoundation.org and www.olmstedmedicalcenter.org websites (collectively, the “Website”). 

By visiting the Website, you are accepting the policies described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you are not permitted to use the Website. The Foundation may revise this privacy policy from time to time. We will post any changes here, so be sure to check back periodically. Your continued use of this Website after changes have been posted will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

What information we collect: The Foundation may ask for and collect from you personally identifiable information at various points throughout the site. Depending on the information and/or services you request, you may be asked to provide your name, email address, address, phone number, payment details, and similar information. Once you provide your personal information, you are not anonymous to the Foundation. 

Credit card information: If you choose to provide your credit card information to the Foundation, we will use that information only for the purposes for which it was provided.

How OMC Regional Foundation uses your information: The Foundation may use your information:

  • To process and respond to inquiries and for the purposes for which you provided the information, such as to process donations, register or renew you as a subscriber of newsletters, register you for event attendance, purchase merchandise, or receive information about a project. 
  • To personalize the content and improve the navigability of the Website. 
  • To alert you to new projects, site features, special events, and services. 
  • To conduct surveys to measure your satisfaction with our service. 
  • To enforce our Terms of Use. 

OMC Regional Foundation processes your information on servers located in the United States.

Who OMC Regional Foundation shares the information with: Subject to your right to opt-out (discussed later in this policy), OMC Regional Foundation may share your name, postal address, and email address with Olmsted Medical Center for any collaborative efforts that may interest you. OMC Regional Foundation may also share your information with third parties in the following situations (i) to complete your request, e.g. providing information about a project, product, or service; (ii) to outsource one or more of the functions described above; or (iii) to share your information with the authorities in response to a legal order or official request, or when we believe you have acted in violation of our Terms of Use.

Where and when OMC Regional Foundation collects information on the Website: In addition to the information you knowingly provide, the Foundation also collects the domain names and IP addresses used by people that visit us, as well as site usage statistics such as web browser types and page requests. This data is not usually personally identifiable, and is used to more efficiently operate the Foundation’s business, prepare for network load demands, promote our organization, and administer the Website. 

How we collect information: In addition to the information gathered as described above, there is a technology called "cookies" that can be used to provide you with tailored information from a website. A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then – depending on your web browser’s settings – store it on your system. For example, some pages on the Website use cookies so that OMC Regional Foundation can better serve you when you return to the Website. How we protect information: OMC Regional Foundation attempts to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your personal information. Our servers are protected by reasonable physical and electronic security. 

Children: This Website is not directed toward children under 18 years of age nor does OMC Regional Foundation knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit any personally identifiable information to OMC Regional Foundation. 

Choice: OMC Regional Foundation may share your name and postal address with Olmsted Medical Center to offer products and services that we believe may interest you. You have the right to opt-out of such information sharing. The Foundation may also use your personal information to send you surveys or email messages about Olmsted Medical Center or Foundation projects, events, and services. You may also choose to opt-out of receiving email or other information from OMC Regional Foundation and Olmsted Medical Center. E-mails: This privacy policy applies to the Website and is inapplicable to information that you may send to OMC Regional Foundation by email or other means of communication. We may retain your emails or other communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
